Afternoon With The Arts

Sunday, December 11th at Umpqua Valley Arts
2:00pm – 7:00pm

Give us the gift of your presence this holiday season at our 2022 winter fundraising event: An Afternoon with the Arts!

Your attendance on this special afternoon will support our nonprofit organization’s year round efforts to provide art experiences that touch the soul, shape a future, and strengthen a community.

THIS FUN-FILLED EXPERIENCE WILL INCLUDE:

Refreshments

To start, we will open UVA’s doors to participants at 1pm to socialize, enjoy refreshments, and get a preview of our silent auction items.

Theater

UVA partners with UACT to include a matinee performance of “Humbug” at UACT’s Betty Long Unruh Theatre, officially kicking off the event!

“Meet Elenore Scrooge, an intimidating Wall Street executive whose lust for money and stature has left her cold, hard, and disillusioned to anyone who stands in her way, especially at Christmas. Enter our three “advisors” who chaperon her to her past, present, and future and help to reshape her views on humanity, the holiday, and herself. This upbeat and moving adaptation of Dicken’s holiday classic is filled with familiar characters who bring laughter and light into this new holiday retelling that the whole family will enjoy.

Silent Auction

After the performance, attendees will return back to UVA for an arts and culture themed Silent Auction filled with unique one-of-a-kind pieces of art and art experiences for individuals and groups. There will also be packages donated by local and regional artists and makers! This is a great opportunity to grab a gift for a loved one (or yourself) while supporting your local arts organization!

Dinner

This evening finishes up with an amazing celebration of the culinary arts. After the auction, there will be a late afternoon 3-course gourmet winter meal created by local chef and culinary artist, Martin Condon.

Martin is a long-time local master of flavors and creates meals that look as beautiful as they taste. Attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy Martin’s masterpieces as they wrap up an evening of connecting with fellow community members that appreciate arts and culture efforts in Douglas County.
