Umpqua Valley Arts is dedicated to the belief that the arts are an indispensable element of a thriving and meaningful community, and that ideas & art in its many forms should be available to all. Our arts exhibition programming is inspired by our energetic community, the geography in which our organization is situated, and the unique history of our region and our institution. When we learn to appreciate art together, we are learning to acknowledge and respect the histories that bind us together, and the changing world that surrounds us.

UVA Members are invited to submit one piece to be featured in our Annual Members’ Exhibit! This is a showcase of the work that our artist members are creating in their personal artistic practices as a thank you for their year-round support. If you are interested in exhibiting your work at UVA, we invite you to submit an exhibit proposal for the 2026-2027 exhibition calendar! We will be accepting exhibit proposals for the 2026-2027 Exhibition year starting January 7th through October 1st, 2025. The Corridor, Gallery II, and Hallie Brown Ford Gallery are operated by the Umpqua Valley Arts Gallery Staff and are exhibit venues for all artists with a focus on regional, national solo and group exhibitions. The Red Door Gallery is an exclusive opportunity reserved for UVA Members to propose solo or group exhibits. All UVA Members who submit a proposal are automatically considered for UVA’s Red Door Gallery.
Artists working in all themes and media are welcome to apply. As a dedicated space to exhibit a diverse group of artistic voices, these exhibits help to promote emerging, mid-career, and established artists. UVA’s exhibition programming is driven by our mission to provide quality artistic and cultural experiences to our community. The exhibitions are inspired by our energetic community, the geography in which our organization is situated, and the unique history of our region and our institution.

2026 SAF POSTER CONTEST

Umpqua Valley Arts is proud to host another poster contest for our Annual Summer Arts Festival! The Summer Arts Festival poster is an important piece of marketing for our biggest event of the year, informing all marketing media that is shared across the state in an effort to advertise the event far and wide. UVA would like to feature the talent and skills of a local/regional artist who can illustrate the energy and spirit of the festival.
HANDMADE HOLIDAY MARKET
A holiday event featuring UVA Members!
Event Date: November 29th
Even Time: 12pm-7pm
UVA presents a special opportunity for our Artist Members. On Shop Small Saturday, UVA will open its doors for the community to shop over 20 different artists’ booths for holiday gifts and enjoy homemade soup, hot cocoa, cookie decorating, games, a photo booth, and more! This is a FREE opportunity for our Artist Members, with limited spaces available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
MALLEABLE
A juried exhibition of soft sculpture art.
Call Opens: November 4th, 2025
Deadline: March 27th, 2026
Exhibit Dates: June 5th – August 14th, 2026
Mark your calendars! On November 1st, Umpqua Valley Arts will present a call for soft sculpture art for our 2026 exhibition schedule. We invite artists in Oregon, Washington, and Idaho who utilize explore soft materials and processes in their artistic practice to submit to this regional exhibition and showcase.
