Current HBF Exhibit 2010
The UVAA Annual Membership Open
June 18th through August 20
The membership show is hanging throughout every gallery in the building. This is one of the annual favorites of many; the show being made up of one art piece per member/creator. Age, media and profession set aside, the galleries are full of an eclectic array of artwork including hand made dolls, carousel horse, jewelry, journals and everything else.
Current membership is and was the only requirement to hang. In fact, if it fit through the door we accepted it!
Be thinking of next year's project now, the UVAA Open show applications will be on the website soon for 2011!

BIENNIAL DOUGLAS COUNTY ALL STUDENT ART SHOW
March 5th through April 22, 2010
FUNNY, INTUITIVE, FRESH, ONE-OF-A-KIND, ADORABLE, THOUGHT PROVOKING.......
You will just have to come into the Arts Center before this year's Student Art Show ends to enjoy the 400+ art pieces that hang on every wall in every gallery on the main floor of the building!
This show provides the Arts Center reason to celebrate since it is responsible for funding so much of the work you will see.
Thank you to so many artist volunteers who are sent out with the mission to bring and maintain art in our schools; unfortunately so many schools within the district do not provide these experiences to our area children.
Thank you to all of you who continue to support the Arts Center through membership and volunteerism to help fund and make these community projects possible!

Members of High Fiber Diet -
April 17 through June 5, 2009
"Line Dance" Fiber art pieces that all share a common thread....a green line that runs through every unique piece.
Come and see this Washington and Oregon based fiber art group's 2009 show as it debuts right here at the UVAA. Each original artwork will contain one constant factor in its composition: A horizontal line that will dance around the gallery, from piece to piece, from vision to vision, from dream to fantasy! This is fiber art at its best and most creative!

Thirty seven pieces complete this exquisite gallery showing of fiber artistry. Twenty top fiber "goddesses" have created works so finely stitched, dyed, cut, quilted, woven and designed that one must see it to appreciate it. Two of the pieces are scarves created and embellished to perfection.
The artists include: Mary Arnold, Diane Born, Christina Brown, Bonnie Bucknam, Caroline Burton, Gerrie Congdon, Georgia French, Mary Goodson, Terry Grant, Amy Hahn, Carol Heist, Laura Jaszkowski, Sandy Keating, Shirley MacGregor, Karen Miller, Barbara Neill, Maarja Paris and Zee Wilks.

Thanks to Douglas County Farmers Co-Op and Apex Store of Roseburg the Hallie Gallery has a beautiful water feature that will draw you in and keep you there for a while to enjoy these new works.
