Did you know that the Arts Center offers kids art classes every Saturday? From 10:30-noon we have classes for kids ages 6-9, from 12:30-2:00, we have classes for kids ages 10-14, and NOW we have classes for kids ages 3-5 WITH their guardian from 10:30-11:30!
Did you know that in 2012 the UVAA once again sponsored the All Douglas County Student Art Show? (with over 500 art pieces on our walls!)
Did you know that UVAA awarded cash prizes to three local high school students who won the juried high school portion of the 2012 Student Art Show?
Did you know that we host an annual outdoor painting competition each September that welcomes the public to watch artists start and finish a work of art outdoors?
Did you know that in 2013 the UVAA hosted the 3rd Annual “Expose Yourself – a Public Hanging of Oregon Artists” that included 281 art pieces from over 130 area artists?
Did you know that in 2013 the Arts Center will host over 20 different art exhibits?

Did you know that various schools from the county are highlighted in the Arts Center’s Student Gallery?
Did you know that the UVAA Summer Arts Festival welcomes in over 15,000 visitors onto the artful grounds and through our building? It takes over 150 angel volunteers to keep this well coordinated machine going in order to produce over $49,000 in operational dollars for the Arts Center!
Did you know that UVAA’s annual Creative Cast-Off Sale (held the third weekend of October) will put artful goods into the hands of those who could use and treasure them, while at the same time bringing money into the Arts Center’s operational funds?
Did you know that it costs the Art Center $18,500 per year just to have heat and lights?
Did you know that the Arts Center is not subsidized, but exists through the generosity of its members, those in the community who are passionate for the arts, area business sponsors, and its “friends in culture?”
Did you know that through our Art Express program, the Arts Center sponsored over 11,000 art experiences for Douglas County’s school children? Did you know this program is volunteer run and delivered to schools at no cost?
